FAQ
Everything you need to know before entering the arena: age, duration, glasses, players, bookings.
What is playerOne?
playerOne is an immersive space in Fribourg dedicated to high-end virtual reality. You choose your experience, we guide you from start to finish, and you dive into a world of your own, alone or with your group.
Is it necessary to have prior VR experience?
No. The experience is designed for everyone. We run a full walkthrough with you before each session, and we stay available for the whole game.
Do I need to book?
Booking is required.
How long does a session last?
The duration depends on the experience chosen, but most sessions last between 30 and 60 minutes, including the welcome and explanations.
Can VR make you feel dizzy or nauseous?
Most experiences are optimised for comfort. If you are sensitive, we point you towards suitable games.
Can we play with glasses?
Yes, VR headsets work with glasses. Frames that are not too wide are more comfortable. If needed, we help you adjust the headset.
Is there a minimum age?
The minimum age is 8. Some games are reserved for an older audience — the recommended age is shown on each game page.
Is it safe?
Yes, the play areas are marked out and the experiences are supervised. We stay with you for the whole session.
Is the equipment cleaned?
Yes, all equipment is thoroughly disinfected between each session to ensure impeccable hygiene.
Can we organise an event?
Yes, playerOne offers experiences tailored for birthdays, corporate outings, and private events. It is possible to book out the venue upon request.
Is the venue accessible for people with reduced mobility?
Yes. Get in touch and we will pick the games that suit you best together.
How do I get there and where can I park?
Boulevard de Pérolles 7, a 3-minute walk from Fribourg station. Open every day from 14.00 to 22.00.
Underground car park in the shopping centre, paid around the clock, or public parking along Boulevard de Pérolles and Route des Arsenaux: first hour free, and free on Sundays and public holidays.
Cancellation, payment, running late: how does it work?
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the session. Payment on site or online. If you are more than ten minutes late, the session is shortened so the following groups are not delayed.
